Dine Outdoors: Enjoy “The Porch” At 30th Street Station

Mar - 21 | | No comments. | University City

On April 1st, The Porch at 30th Street Station is opening for its 2013 season. This spring, this University City public space is launching an awesome event schedule filled with fun and free events all season.

Stop by each and every Monday and Friday from noon to 1 p.m. during April to enjoy live music with your lunch. Plus, you can visit again and again, because each event will feature a different style of music — everything from Jazz to Eastern European music.

Plus, some of Philly’s best food trucks are set to serve diners on The Porch on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you're in the area, and in need of some grub, stop by from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to enjoy food from The Cow and the Curd, Sweetbox Cupcakes, Say Cheese, and many more.

Every Wednesday, enjoy a bit of Philly’s music scene with XPN Philly local Wednesdays which will feature local, up-and-coming bands and musicians. The first XPN performance will be on April 3rd at 12 p.m., and will feature Dante Bucci, a celebrated handpan player.

Beer fan? Stop by on April 18th and 19th when 30th Street Station’s Bridgewater’s Pub will move outdoors onto The Porch, where they'll set up a classic beer garden from 3 to 8 p.m. All afternoon and evening, enjoy craft brews, enjoy live music, and visit with friends.
